What counts as a disputable violation?
The most common winning grounds are: license plate misread (camera captured a wrong character), your E-ZPass tag wasn't read but your account was active and funded, you didn't own the vehicle at the time, or it was your first-ever violation with that authority. We'll tell you instantly which applies to you.
What if my case is weak?
We'll tell you honestly before you commit. Even weak cases can sometimes succeed with a well-written letter. You can choose to file anyway — and you still pay nothing unless we win.
How do you file the dispute?
Depending on the authority, we submit directly via their online portal, email their violations department, or send a certified physical letter. We use the correct state law citations for each authority — which is what makes our letters effective.
Is this legal? Is TollFighter a law firm?
Toll disputes are administrative proceedings, not legal cases — no lawyer is required. TollFighter is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We're a technology service that prepares and files administrative dispute letters on your behalf.
How long does the dispute take?

What states do you cover?
